Donut stop laughing! It’s true, a donut tastes that much better served up with a minor bit of insanity on the side. So isn’t it just so fitting that Psycho Donuts would celebrate its expansion downtown San Jose with a screening of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest? I don’t make this stuff up folks. Crispy Cream this ain’t–thankfully.
Forget about Boston Creme, I say! This is where you can get a nice Psycho helping of favorite hits such as: Crazy Face, Berry Kooky Vegan, Noses and Eyeballs, Headbanger, Cereal Killer, and Psycho Panda.
In a Psycho “statement” Jordan Zweigoron, Chief Psycho said, “As San Jose continues to evolve into a thriving downtown scene, we envision Psycho Donuts as a unique and fabulously independent attraction, which will stand out as a vibrant destination for local residents and visitors alike.”
It’s unclear if he made these remarks while in straight jacket, and before or after the tranquilizer.
The new Pscyo Donuts location will be located under the same roof as ComedySportz, the South Bay’s longest-running live show, to create the newest addition to downtown San Jose entertainment and growth.
The converted venue will debut to the downtown community with “Donut Stop Laughing,” an event free to the general public in which attendees can sample the trademark donuts, explore the newly themed space, and enjoy multiple sample showings of ComedySportz, the fullyimprovised, all-ages comedy show. The event takes place on September 16 from 6:00 p.m. to9:00 p.m., with the official Grand Opening of Psycho Donuts taking place on September 17th.
