If you’re a fan of Russian River Valley wines from Sonoma, mark your calendar for Saturday, August 18. That’s when you’ll be able to taste a whole bunch of the region’s best wines from some of the top producers, as the 17th annual Grape to Glass takes place at Richard’s Grove & Saralee’s Vineyard.
According to organizers, the summertime celebration brings together “an exclusive mix of wines from this boutique wine producing region for a night of fun that includes a BBQ dinner, live and silent auction, a farmer’s market, live music and, of course, wine tasting from the best producers in the region.”

The event features more than 75 wineries, restaurants, artists and vendors. To add ever more spice (and some rock ‘n roll) today new auction packages were new announced including a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the filming of the Food Network’s “Guy’s Big Bite,” hosted by Guy Fieri (plus a shot in his Santa Rosa home), a pool party at Francis Ford Coppola for eight people and a zip line tour of Sonoma, among others.

As always, please consider taking our Stark rules to heart for these kinds of wine events:
Wear something white – you want to proudly showcase all of your red wine stains as badges of honor. Don’t spit. This is great wine. Enjoy it. Live a little. We hope to see you there!
