Harley-Davidson has one of the most powerful brands, in fact it is probably the only company that can claim that owners of their bikes are so loyal some of them have tattoos of the logo.
Whether you are a die-hard biker or not (I fall into the latter category), just the mention of “harleys” evokes images of freedom spanning long stretch of American highway and a raw edginess that can either be attributed to youth or a mid-life crisis.
This year’s National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) conference opening night event took place at the Harley-Davidson museum.
Harley owners didn’t need too much encouragement to strut out in their leather jackets and pants for a night of festivities and museum tours. I was able to procure a Harley t-shirt and belt and with my fake tattoo, I got a glimpse of what it would be like if I was a cool biker-chick.
Too bad you can see my geek badge, else this would be a pretty convincing photo!
I didn’t have a Harley outfit so I went into the museum store and got a t-shirt and belt. The shirt I arrived in is in the shopping bag.
The outside of the museum. A designer must have spent a lot of time ensuring the architecture was consistent with the brand.
A blast from the past – the history of Harley-Davidson.
Colorful window display, helps when you have such stylish assets.
Even the most fashion aware would approve of this matching outfit and bike.
Some serious bling on this bike!
If riding a harley down a highway is not exciting enough, this ramp will surely give you vertigo.
