Organizers have announced that Colbie Caillat, O.A.R. and Matt Nathanson will headline the inaugural Yountville Live music and wine festival.
The three day event is dubbed a celebration of “food, wine & lifestyle” and features live performances, appearances by celebrity chefs and, since its being held in the heart of Napa, fine wine. Yountville Live runs March 19 – 22.
Several events will be held at restaurants throughout Yountville including Ad Hoc and Bouchon (Thomas Keller), Bistro Jeanty (Philippe Jeanty), Bottega (Michael Chiarello), Redd (Richard Reddington), Hurley’s Restaurant (Bob Hurley), and Lucy Baressono (Victor Scargle). Stark Insider was told more will be added soon. As it stands, we’d grade this line-up an A+.
Yountville Live opens Thursday with a Chef’s food and wine reception. Attendees can those chose from one of eight dining experiences across Yountville, each with an “intimate” musical performance. Popular Texas group Blue October is a marquee act scheduled to perform on opening night.
Mainstage performances are scheduled for Saturday at the Lincoln Theatre (Napa Valley Center for the Performing Arts) with O.A.R. topping the bill.
On Sunday a brunch will be followed by performances by Colbie Caillat and Matt Nathanson.
Caillat is receiving accolades and radio airplay for her new hit “Try” from her new, fourth studio album “Gypsy Heart.”
Nathanson has also continued his winning ways with the hit single “Headphones.”
Recently, both Colbie Caillat and Matt Nathanson sat down with Stark Insider to talk creative process, songwriting, and the forces creating change in the music industry. Depending on your sensibilities, the interview with Matt may or may not be NSFW. Here’s what they had to say recently during Live in the Vineyard (a sister musical festival to Yountville Live):
