Paris? In winter?
Why not?!
It may not be peak season, but the city of lights is as beautiful as ever.
There’s something about the clouds and rain that lends itself well to evoking, call it, a lovely melancholy. Or something like that. However you look at it, Paris is so undeniably charming and beautiful to behold. Spring, summer, fall. Or winter.
We’re here shooting 3 Days in Paris for an upcoming Stark Insider video segment. It follows on the heels of 3 Days in Sonoma. And, perhaps another destination is in the works too.
While I’ve been to Paris before, I’ve never quite seen it like this: rain soaked, dark, moody. I do appreciate that it’s less crowded this time of year (though still relatively crowded at the major tourist destinations). Once again, I’m walking everywhere. Yesterday, I walked about an hour from the Arc de Triomphe along the Seine river to the Musée du Louvre — there’s so much to see in any given direction that strolling the streets here feels like an adventure in itself. Later, I will head to my favorite museum, d’Orsay.
Meantime, here’s a few quick shots from yesterday in Paris.
Look for more soon on Stark Insider. All Things West Coast. And, every now and then, with a dash of international wanderlust for good measure. Au revoir for now!
