If Microsoft has its way Windows 8 will bring consistency. The way Windows looks on a desktop should look familiar when switching to a mobile device, and vice-versa. In that regard, Apple and Google both ask us to think different.

Earlier this week the rumor mill was flying. The odds on favorite was a March 29 launch. Some even speculated that February 29 could be a surprise pick.
Hands-on Chrome for Android (verdict: fast, some bugs)
The app already has a 4.5 star rating on the Android Market, with over 1,000 downloads. Not exactly Angry Birds, but I expect once Google makes this available to more devices, it will quickly climb the charts.

Apple, however, continues to lead as the number one maker of handsets. The top five selling handsets in Q4 were the Apple iPhone 4S, Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 3GS, Samsung GALAXY S II, and Samsung GALAXY S 4G.
